THEA RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE + TV SHOW

September 4, 2014

Her rehearsal space, affectionately referred to as The Music Room, is Thea’s cosy hideaway; the place where she can shut herself in with only her piano for company. This, one can safely assume, offers the perfect situation for her fingers to freely tinkle the ivories and her creative juices to wander. Indeed, Thea’s Music Room is where she has written many a song and rehearsed for her performances, but it is also where she teaches her students about the joy of music. For the past two years however, the space has doubled as an intensive study room as the pop singer shifted her focus on getting her University degree. Now that’s done and dusted, it was only natural that Thea would be picking up where she left off, and what better way to do it if not with a new single.

Officially launched during her performance at this year’s Farson Great Beer Festival, new single Fight the fall finds her in fine form. Penned by American songwriter and producer Matthew Loverso, who was also behind her 2009 single It’s his eyes I see and 2011’s Hostage for love, Fight the fall is a smooth RnB number. Its slick groove is easy on the ear, while also capturing the transformation of a budding teen singer into a confident young adult and sounding all the better for it. Unsurprisingly, as was the case with her previous releases, among them Musilicious, On The Dance Floor and Say My Name to name a few, Fight the fall has been well-received by local radio stations and has been playlisted by most of them.

Meanwhile, music aside, Thea will also be branching out into another prime area of the entertainment business very shortly. She will in fact be making her debut in the world of television as the presenter and co-producer of the ELLEtv fashion programme which rolls out on NET TV this October.
