ROCK IN THE FOREST IV

August 21, 2015

Fans of rock music are in for a special treat next Saturday. Rock in the Forest is back and there’s a whole lot of rock music in store; from classic tunes to modern and contemporary hits, the selection promises something for all ages.

The concert, now in its fourth edition, will feature a one-off appearance by members of popular local band Corkskrew, who had split up some years ago. Singer Diane Micallef, along with bassist Cliff Smith and drummer Franco Aloisio will in fact be performing some Corkskrew numbers together with the RITF band. Other guest singers include the one and only Gianni, who also took part in last year's edition, former-Cruz vocalist Marilyn Mifsud, Shades of Green’s Georgius Mifsud and Simaria Galea from the band Panama. This year’s RITF band features event founder David Perotti (guitars, vocals) and his children Kristina (drums) and Andrew (vocals), guitarists Carl Tanti, Daniel Debono and Georgius Mifsud, bassist Cliff Smith, keyboardist Sergio Bellizzi and drummer Franco Aloisio.

"This is the fourth edition we are organizing at Buskett and each year the event has been getting bigger”, David Perrotti remarked. “The first edition five years ago was just between friends in our garden at home, but form the feedback we’ve been getting these past years, moving it to a proper venue was definitely the right decision”. Rock in the Forest IV will feature interpretations of hits from A-list rock bands such as Deep Purple, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Guns 'n Roses, Live, Paramore, Kings of Leon, Green Day and many more.

Rock in The Forest IV will be held on Saturday, August 29 at Chateau Buskett. Entrance is against a donation of €7, with all proceeds going to Puttinu Cares. Doors open at 8pm. Table bookings are available. Standing and bar areas available. For more information, visit the Rock in the Forest IV event page on Facebook.
