HAUNTED BY LOVE: IRA'S NEW SINGLE

December 16, 2015

Haunted by Love is the latest single from Ira Losco. The song is the first to be released off her upcoming fifth album, which is due for release in 2016. Ira Losco has been busy in the studio since last August and is set to return with a very fresh sound. In fact, the new single, which was produced by Howard Keith at Jagged House Studios,  is propelled by a drum and bass groove, reflecting the pop sound currently dominating international charts and mainstream radio playlists.

In a further comment, Howard Keith said, “so many songs, so many years have passed and yet I can never foresee what Ira is going to come up with next", adding that every effort is made to keep her music fresh, exciting, challenging and above all fun. "It’s very easy to fall into the ‘predictable and safe’ pattern but Ira has always managed to re-invent herself and out do what she’s done in the past and that doesn’t come by very often".

The music video for Haunted by Love, directed by James Vernon, was also released today. The video features local boxing champion and sports icon Bertu Camilleri playing a cameo role as Ira’s mentor and trainer where she plays the part of a struggling boxer.

Commenting about her latest release, Ira said "I'm glad to be ending 2015 with the release of the first single from a new body of work we’ve been working very hard on". Further to explaining that there’s still lots of work to be done, Ira added that 18 tracks have already been A-listed out of around 40 tracks. "I’m looking forward to release the album in 2016. I believe that using every possible vehicle to bring across one’s music is of utmost importance in today's industry, where it can easily get lost in all the noise. I pour my heart and soul into what seems to me the best way of bringing my music to my audience in the most creative way possible".
