LOCAL ARTIST SIGNED BY HOLLYWOOD PRODUCER

May 23, 2017

We've known her locally as Christabelle Borg ever since she first stepped onto a stage but, as from now, the hard-working artist, who has several releases to her name, will be recording under the name of Chrystabelle.  Even better news is the recent announcement that she will be working with  Hollywood music producer Geo Slam.  Geo Slam is part of Team RedOne, which currently rules the global pop music charts and has worked with a good number of best-selling international recording artists.

Chrystabelle previewed her latest single during a launch event at the Hilton yesterday, which should bring her a step closer to take her place on the international music stage. With no fewer than 8 Bay Music Awards and two MMA Awards to her name, as well as placing second in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest in 2016, it's safe to say she's no newcomer to the music world. Chrystabelle has also had the opportunity to perform with Gigi D’Alessio and has opened for Laura Pausini, both artists well-established on both the Italian and global music scene.

Though based in L.A. producer and songwriter Geo Slam is actually Swedish. He has worked with the creme de la creme  of the global pop scene - from Lady Gaga,  Jennifer Lopez, Usher and Pitbull to Enrique Iglesias, One Direction,  Jason Derulo and BackStreet Boys, and has contributed to an array of popular albums that have earned gold, platinum and even multi-platinum certification internationally.

“We are sure this collaboration will send an inspirational message to the youth of Malta that everything and anything is possible if you just follow your dreams and work hard”, Chrystabelle’s management team said in a comment, clearly confident that this could potentially open doors and build bridges between Hollywood and Malta, perhaps even placing Malta in a more prominent position within the US market and the global music industry.
