ABOUTMIKEBUGEJA.COM

Mad about music from the get-go, I've been following the music scene in Malta since childhood. Decades have passed since those early days of collecting newspaper cuttings in a scrapbook, and here I am, all these years later, still as crazy about music as I've ever been. In the interim, I've done everything from being a fan, a roadie, even 'singing' in a few bands (none you would know), a club DJ, a radio DJ/producer, music PR and, for the best part of 20 years, a music journalist (the latter three I still do on a regular basis). That's it in a nutshell.

Bearing in mind the positive feedback that my LIB66 website, quite likely the first to be focused entirely on the Maltese music scene, had received back in the days of Geocities, I really should have set up this website a long time ago, but never really got round to it. Well, here it is finally... a website that brings together a good chunk (but not everything) that I've been up to in my life that is related to music, and the Maltese music scene in particular. My first article to be published dates back to May 1996 (The Malta Independent) , when I stepped in to cover for a music journalist who was away on holiday. Since then, in no particular order, I've written for The Malta Independent, Dansezee, Sunday Circle, Modern Elegance, The People and The Sunday Times of Malta, where from October 2007 up to May 2014, I was the resident music correspondent, using my pages to help promote local acts and boost the public's awareness of what goes on within Malta's music scene.

This website and M3P.com.mt is where much of my work will now be featured, bar the occasional printed article here and there. Expect some of my past works along with new articles to pop up here along the way. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me with any feedback and exciting music that you think I should be writing about..it is always welcome!
