Hard Rock Cafe Malta supported Dr. Klown through its first Give A Smile campaign, raising €1,300 during the month of February 2015. The international franchise encouraged its fans to get a red nose, the iconic prop for Dr. Klown, against a donation of €2. Dr Klown is a Maltese NGO, active in Mater Dei Hospital that provides hospitalized children distraction and stress relief through fun and laughter. During the presentation, Jesus Rodriguez, Area Manager for Hard Rock Cafe Malta thanked Dr. Klown's volunteers for their valuable work, all Hard Rock staff for their efforts and finally all the Hard Rock fans who donated to the Give A Smile campaign.
In the name of Dr. Klown and the volunteer Klown Doctors, Maurice Sleypen, President, thanked the management and staff of Hard Rock Café for their efforts and assured them the donation will be spent wisely on the further professional development of the volunteers to become ever better at their task to cheer up children in Mater Dei Hospital.
