ROCKNA RADIO SHOW MARKS MILESTONE WITH LIVE CONCERT

Malta's iconic talk and music radio show celebrates its 15th anniversary this year with a special event featuring live performances from three leading acts from the local music scene. The anniversary concert, which will take place on Friday, 3rd October 2025 at Tigullio, St Julian’s will be a celebration of both the radio show’s long-standing tenure as one of the premier promoters of the Maltese music scene, as well as our island’s prolific and rich musical heritage. The acts performing on the night are Kriz Haze, Colourblind, and Vinyl Paradise, followed by a jam session hosted by Music Playground.

This event is being proudly supported by Paymix SoftPOS, Take One Print & Design, Tigullio, Music Playground and the radio show's home station, NET FM.

Since first airing on July 9th, 2010, Rockna has become an institution in Malta's musical landscape, providing a vital platform for local artists and music enthusiasts. Host Michael Bugeja's groundbreaking hybrid music and talk show has consistently championed the local scene, evolving from its original home on Radio 101 Digital to its current platform on NET FM, while expanding its reach through internet streaming and DAB+ digital radio.

The 15th Anniversary Concert will feature a carefully curated lineup that represents the diversity and quality of Malta's music scene. Opening the evening will be Kriz Haze from Beesqueeze, performing a special solo set. Next

up, veteran Maltese prog rock band Colourblind will take the stage. The pioneering group, which recently resurfaced with a fresh lineup, represents the enduring spirit of Malta's progressive rock scene and promises to deliver a performance that bridges their storied past with their exciting future. Headlining the anniversary celebration will be Vinyl Paradise, Malta's leading blues-rock trio. Known for their electrifying performances and authentic sound, Vinyl Paradise has become synonymous with quality Blues music in Malta, making them the perfect choice to close the main program of this milestone event. However, the musical celebration doesn't end with the headliners. Following Vinyl Paradise's set, the venue will open its stage to all musicians for an open jam session that will continue late into the night, embodying the inclusive, community-driven spirit that has defined Rockna throughout its 15-year journey.

Over the past 15 years, Rockna has distinguished itself through its comprehensive format, seamlessly blending in-depth interviews with carefully curated music selections that showcase the depth and diversity of Malta's musical talent. The show has become synonymous with musical exclusivity, hosting numerous album and single launches as well as intimate live unplugged sessions. Some of these special moments have been preserved in the compilation album Rockna Live & Unplugged, which is available as a free download.

The show's impact extends beyond the airwaves, having previously staged special live concerts for previous anniversaries, which were also broadcast live on radio. As Malta's music scene continues to evolve and gain international recognition, Rockna remains a cornerstone of the local musical community. The 15th Anniversary Concert at Tigullio on October 3rd represents not just a celebration of the show's achievements, but a testament to the vibrant, ever-growing community of musicians and music lovers that have made Rockna possible.
