Maltese rock band WaterWings is currently participating in a competition that will give the winning band a chance to play at Sziget Festival in Hungary and they need your vote. For more information and to vote, click here.

The band was formed back in 2010, while its members were still in the final year of their secondary education and a gig opportunity came along, giving them their first public performance as WaterWings. Four years later, the band entered Foreface studio to record with Niki Gravino, the fruit of that session being debut single Steal the crown, further to which a lavish and highly effective music video was also produced. Both the single and the video were very well-received, boosting WaterWings from new kids on the block to regular radio mainstays.

Earlier this year, the band released its second single Forever Clear, once again recorded with Gravino, only this time the band came up with a song that unveiled a different musical approach and a radically different music video that perfectly reflected the tangential shift in the music. The song is currently No.1 on Malta's Top 10. the band is currently preparing to record its first EP later this summer, as well as getting ready for its perofrmance at the Farsons Great Beer Festival in Ta' Qali on Sunday, August 2.
