London-based Maltese singer songwriter Sophie DeBattista recently released a new single. So Damn Perfect, which is the young artist’s first independent release, has attracted the attention of radio stations and listeners alike, which has helped the song climb up to #3 on the iTunes charts. Meanwhile, Sophie is currently also considering development offers from production companies that have previously worked with the likes of Birdy, Jessie J and JLS. Since being awarded a scholarship for a BA in songwriting at the renowned Institute of Contemporary Music Performance towards the end of last year, Sophie has seen an increase in the music industry’s interest in her work. Indeed, the whole London experience has presented her with a lot of opportunities, among them the chance to perform at several high profile events such as The Westfield Christmas Launch, National History Museum Ice Skating Rink, the Open Mic UK Grand Final at Birmingham’s NEC, Busking at The Brits at The O2 Arena, Sports Relief at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and headlining at Proud Camden. Sophie is presently working on a music video for her latest single.
