NOSNOW/NOALPS (WILL NOT) DISAPPEAR

Further to a very hectic and successful year, during which the band not only toured extensively in Europe and released a brand new EP, nosnow/noalps recently released its latest single. Disappear is taken off the band’s rather versatile EP, Go Go Go Go, which was released locally last June. As with its previous releases, the band has produced an accompanying music video for its latest single.

Shot at St. James Cavalier, the video features popular Maltese magician and illusionist Brian Role’. “The song is about having to leave loved ones behind, of somehow having to be separated from them for whatever reason, and then letting the emotion disappear”, frontman Nick Morales said of the song’s theme. “It's a song about detachment basically”. The video was directed, filmed, produced and edited by Matthew James Borg (Railway Studios, Talkback) while the song was recorded at Temple Studios, Malta with production and mastering by David Vella.

“We’ve had a very fruitful year”, Morales added, explaining that among this year’s highlights, the band was especially pleased at being asked to support UK band Dry The River in Italy last July. “We also played at the second edition of the Malta Takes London concert in London and at this year’s Teatru Unplugged at the Manoel Theatre”. The band’s last gig for 2014 will take place on December 31 as part of the Time Machine New Year’s Eve party at Razzett L-Aħmar in Mosta, following which nosnow/noalps will be focusing on writing new material and preparing another touring schedule for 2015.
