The latest single (and music video) from nosnow/noalps was officially launched today via Italian music portal Ondarock.it. The latest offering from the band is called Kaleidoscopes and with good reason too, for it is possibly their most accomplished by way of portraying the many colours that one finds in their eclectic musical palette. A simple love song addressing a communication breakdown of sorts, the single is breezy, contemplative, brittle and irresistibly catchy all at once; a welcome reminder of that luscious pop wonderment that a certain Paddy McAloon used to deliver so much of decades ago.
Recorded and produced at Temple Studios with David Vella during the summer, Kaleidoscopes is the first release featuring the band's latest formation, and marks an important step in the band's plans for the next couple of years, which will of course culminate in a new album further to which a special concert marking the band's tenth anniversary is also in the works. The music video for Kaleidoscopes was directed and produced by film-maker James Vernon.
nosnow/noalps is Nick Morales (vocals, guitar), Bertram Cachia (bass), Benji Cachia (drums), Sarah Falzon (vocals, keybaords), Leona Farrugia (vocals, keyboards) and Alex Taylor-Helleur (trumpet).
