A familiar face with all those who follows the festival circuit - she has performed in the finals of the past three Malta Eurovision Song Contest and placed second in the L-Għanja Tal-Poplu festival -- young singer Raquel recently released her debut radio single which, further to her appearance at Rockestra last year, suggests she has been exploring new options.
Written by Emil Calleja Bayliss and Andrew Zammit, Signs ticks all the boxes expected of a radio-friendly pop song; a breezy, flowing number driven by acoustic guitar and a saccharine melody that should ensure it will grace the local airwaves well into the summer. Slightly different to Raquel's usual style, the new single brings out a fresh side to her personality and affirms her desire to be as versatile as possible.
