Teen singer Christina Magrin is fast becoming a household name after representing Malta at the 14th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Valletta. Magrin performed the song Parachute, which she co-wrote with Matt ‘Muxu’ Mercieca and Florent Boshnjaku.
Following her experience as part of the spectacular Eurovision showcase, Christina has returned to her daily routine, focusing on her school work and keeping her grades in check, and of course keeping herself busy making music. She has in fact already been in the studio working on new material with some of the world’s leading songwriters, in preparation for the release of her debut album in a couple of months’ time.
The second single off the young artist's debut album was co-written with Matt ‘Muxu’ Mercieca and Cyprian Cassar, the latter also responsible for both the melody and the production of the song, which will be premiered on Saturday, February 18 during the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2017, where Christina is one of the guest artists. This first performance of the new single will involve students from the The Voice Lab as well as an intense choreographic routine by the Southville Dancers.
The new single will be available through most major music portals as from March 2017, around which time an accompanying music video produced by Angie Laus will also be released.
