    MICHELA'S EUROVISION SONG REVEALED

It was only released three days ago, yet it has already clocked up well over 600,000 views. Yes, it seems like Malta's entry for this year's Eurovision Song Contest has struck a chord with the general public, both here at home and abroad. Of course, this may have little bearing on how it will fare in the actual contest, but hey, for the time being at least, Chameleon is getting its fair share of praise. An upbeat number with a fresh, feelgood vibe, Chameleon ticks all the sam

RICHARD EDWARDS' YOU REMIXED BY TOBY

He's a familiar face on the local music circuit, both as a solo artist or as part of the band Firelight, whose song Coming Home was Malta's entry at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark. Further to releasing his summer 2016 single Burning, last November Richard Edwards also released the acoustic ballad You, which made the final 16 in the 2017 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest. The song didn't win, but it received so much positive feedback it has now been re-

CLAUDIA FANIELLO: NOT JUST A PRETTY FACE

Claudia Faniello is without a doubt one of the more familiar female faces, and voices, on the local pop scene. Her popularity is as much the result of her persuasive performances within the festival circuit as well as her occasional foray into the mainstream, and one cannot deny that the string of radio singles she has released to date revealed a rather interesting and different side to this charming lady's musical range and interest. In the wake of her latest single Miles A

It's not that often that the Eurovision Song Contest gets a mention on this blog, largely because, despite the fact that I still tend to watch the event on TV (don't ask, I just can't explain it!) there's little about it I find engaging enough to work my brain-cells and put pen to paper about, without any disrespect to anyone who is an ESC fan, of course. Sometimes however, this European celebration of music (and as of recent, Australia too) does offer the odd sweet surprise,

DE BEE: PIN THE MIDDLE VIDEO RELEASED

Her somewhat surreal rendition of Pin the middle at this year’s Eurovision Malta Song Contest was without a doubt an effective performance. Coupled with the song’s simple yet universal message, her effortless charm helped to earn singer De Bee second place in the competition, while giving her a firm footing on the local pop scene. This however, was not De Bee’s first musical offering; trainspotters will note that apart from being a member of the Voices choir in the past, she
