YEP! THE SHH ARE BACK!

Adopting a curious name like The Shh was in itself already a masterstroke by marketing standards on Alison Galea and Ian Schranz's part, so the simple fact that they write wonderful songs with infectious pop hooks that sink in so quickly is a bonus, really. They established themselves on the local scene and attracted a foreign fanbase as far away as Japan seemingly without too much effort, which says a lot about how powerful their songs' reach and appeal is.

The result of a series of casual music jams somewhere between Paris and this little island of ours, The Shh found unexpected fame thanks to the songs that eventually featured on their 2012 debut EP, The Burning Love, followed by the equally well-received full-length album All things With Love in 2013.

Since then, The Shh have been pretty quiet, with Alison and Ian focusing on other projects as well as the occasional resurgence of their main band, Beangrowers, the latter without a doubt one of the most important groups to emerge from the Maltese music scene. Clearly however, they have also been working, as four years on, The Shh are back with a brand new track (and accompanying music video) that sees them shift their musical co-ordinates to embrace a stronger electronic pulse, but without relinquishing the defining subtle saccharine indie pop vein at the core of their songs.

Mastered by Yasmin Kuymizakis (aka YEWS), Too Young is the first taste of what The Shh have been up to in their downtime. A mid-paced electro-lite number with an immediate melody that takes the listener in from the first spin, it's a sign of great things to follow from The Shh later this year. meanwhile you can listen to or download the song below.
