Guitarra de Tierras Imaginarias is a music concert that offers an exquisite journey into the fascinating world of the classical guitar. The evening begins with an opening performance from local band TACT, blending classical and jazz elements into an intriguing combination of introspective music.
The concert will also feature Mro Carlos Eduardo Bojarski, an accomplished Argentinean musician of international repute with an interest in contemporary sounds. He is known for his inquisitive bent; a trait which he employs in his live interpretations to make each of his performances one-of-a-kind. Alongside works by Italian composer Luciano Berio and the Latin-American composers Alberto Ginastera and Hèitor Villa-Lobos, Mro. Bojarski and will also be performing two major guitar compositions by the contemporary Maltese composer Mro. John E. ZammitPace, including the world premiere of his Classical Guitar Sonata No. 3.
Guitarra de Tierras Imaginarias is hosted by Valletta 2018 as part of its music programme. The concert will take place on Saturday, May 5th at Bacchus, Mdina.
