The summer may be officially over, but that hasn't stopped local pop artist Malcolm Pisani from going ahead and releasing his latest single, an uplifting number by the name of Summer Love that is simply bursting with positive energy. The single is the latest in a string of releases which, during the past three years, have certainly raised Pisani's profile in the world of Maltese pop.
Summer Love was composed and produced by Ticli & Gas, a Sicilian DJ and producer team that has recently been attracting attention in the Italian dance scene with their original compositions. Having worked on this song without any vocalist in mind, Ticli & Gas decided to rope in the Maltese singer for the job after coming across the music videos of Pisani's songs I and Enough on YouTube. With 'summer' as the main theme, Pisani approached established Maltese songwriter Matt 'Muxu' Mercieca, who eventually came up with lyrics to suit the melody, the result of which is Summer Love in all its anthemic dancefloor glory .
