She was Malta's representative at the 2015 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, but since then, Amber has done much by way of furthering her musical career. To begin with, her post-Eurovision single releases clearly outlined that she had moved on from Warrior; musically at least, as her fighting spirit remained intact. In what some considered a bold leap (it was!) to explore fresh sounds and a new direction, Amber's album Redemption underlined her declared intention to take on any challenge in her bid to take her music to bigger audiences.
Well, the hard work is starting to pay off as this Monday, April 24, she will be performing at the pre-show event at Birmingham’s Barclay's Card Arena, ahead of Bruno Mars' concert there as part of his 24k Magic World Tour, which kicked off last month in Antwerp, Belgium. This performance will serve to fire up Amber's verve even further, as she will be touring around Europe later this year with her own headline show, ahead of the release of her first international single, scheduled for a November release.
"I can't believe I'm actually writing this post. I will be performing during the pre-show at the Bruno Mars 24K Magic concert in Birmingham UK this Tuesday. I am just super excited...someone pinch me"
This was what Amber herself posted on her Facebook page earlier today, her excitement more than obvious in the accompanying picture (above). Meanwhile, Amber also revealed she has “a mountain of new material” for her next studio album.
