MISTURA BACK WITH NEW VIDEO

Maltese rock band Mistura is back with a new song after a hiatus, the best part of which was spent writing new material for their new album, which is due out later this year. Titled Tuna Isimkom, the song is the first of the band's new compositions to be released publicly via YouTube with a lyric video that pretty much spells out the song's inspiration. Tinged with their signature touch of satire and social commentary, the song has a prog-rock inclination.

“Since many of the comments received by our followers are related to the lyrical content of the songs, we wanted to create a lyric video to further accentuate the lyrics. This will, after all, help us to further deliver the social message behind the song and consequently, behind the new album”, the band said in a comment.

Mistura first surfaced back in 2012 as one of the participants at that year's L-Għanja tal-Poplu festival, where they won the WAFA award for Best New Talent. Since then, they have performed at countless venues and leading events, among them Rock the South Festival, Teatru Unplugged, Farsons Great Beer Festival, Evenings on Campus, Notte Bianca and Kotra.

In 2014 Mistura released a studio album titled U d-Dinja Tkompli Ddur, which was followed by the live albm U l-Kotra Għajtet f’Daqqa two years later.

More details about the album and its upcoming launch will be announced within the coming weeks.
