Malta’s electronic artists will unite for the very first time to pay a tribute to the works of world-famous electronic music pioneers, and it’s all for a good cause too, as the event is being staged in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.
Edwin Balzan (Duo Blank), Owen Bezzina (Owen Jay), Frank Cachia (Duo Blank), Keith Farrugia (Stimulus Timbre), Jody Fiteni, Toni Gialanze (Digital Nature), Neil Hales (Acidulant), Andrew Magro (A-Mag), Brandon Portelli, and Antoine Vella will be playing music from Aphex Twin, Depeche Mode, Human League, Jan Hammer, Jean Michel Jarre, John Carpenter, Kraftwerk, Laurent Garnier, Orbital, Pink Floyd, Robert Palmer, Tangerine Dream, Throbbing Gristle, Wendy Carlos, Vangelis, Visage and Yazoo.
These artists will be performing their arrangements on vintage keyboards, modular, software and also wind synthesizers and will be assisted by reactive lighting and projections. All proceeds of this concert will be in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund (MCCF) and will be held on Sunday, December 27 at the Spazju Kreattiv (St James Cavalier Theatre) starting at 7pm. Entrance is against a donation for the MCCF at the door.
The concert will be supported by a performance from upcoming Maltese electronic artist Jupiter Jaxx (Rudi Agius).
This concert is another initiative by the newly founded Electronic Music Malta voluntary organization.
