ALL SET FOR THE KVB

Now signed to Portishead’s Geoff Barrow’s Invada Records, The KVB have been giving us gloriously reverb-drenched songs for the past 6 or so years. Their music has drawn comparisons to some of the foremost post-punk icons – from Joy Division to The Jesus & Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine to The Cure, to which one can’t forget to mention the minimalist electronic undertow that gives The KVB’s sound its delicate yet impacting energy.

With several albums to its name already, the Berlin-based duo is about to release its latest full-length, Of Desire, ahead of which they will be kickstarting their European tour with a live performance in Malta on Saturday, March 5, thanks to Hairy Amp, Sonic Mecca and Sick of Ants. The event will also feature an opening performance from our very own noise-mongers The Areola Treat as well as Sonitus Eco, LVX, The Chemist and local electronic oddball Adrian, who will debut his SALÒ project, a live machine driven performance blending experimental electronica across a multitude of genres.

Tickets for the event cost €20 and are available here.
