BLACK GOLD SHELTER BENEFIT CONCERT

THE SHELTER.jpg

Already well-known as both an entertainment hotspot and a hangout for live music, the Black Gold in Sliema will be giving up its stage to an extended line-up featuring 3 live acts and an exotic dance show on Saturday, October 18. The event has been billed as The Shelter Benefit Concert, and as the name implies, it’s all taking place for a good cause, with performances from Chris & Moira, singer-songwriter Billy Lee and recent additions to the local scene The Voyage, whose recent debut single The Love You Never Took has been doing well on the local radio charts. The concert will also include a special dance show featuring qualified Egyptian belly-dancer Caramella and her students.

Entrance to the event is free but donations are welcome in order to raise funds and generate support for Fr. Adriano's shelter for the poor, elderly, and socially-excluded persons. The Shelter is being organized by African Development Organisation (ADO), a non-governmental organization based in Malta that seeks to promote and support development initiatives in the areas of infrastructure, education, agriculture and health.
