A TOUCH OF TENISHIA AT TOMORROWLAND
This afternoon, the world’s Number One dance music festival welcomes Malta’s biggest dance music export into its fold. Kicking off at noon today in the Belgian town of Boom, the 2015 edition of Tomorrowland will, for the third time, be experiencing the music of Maltese act Tenishia, whose appearance on the Tranceaddict stage is yet another confirmation of the DJ duo’s widespread repute on the international dance music scene.
The Tomorrowland slot comes hot on the heels of other exciting developments for Tenishia on the international front. In fact, as of last month, Joven Grech and Cyprian Cassar are presenting a monthly MTV show on MTV Asia. The hour-long show features a selection of music videos hand-picked by the Maltese DJs and is aired in 8 different Asian countries, reaching an audience that runs into billions. It’s worth mentioning that Asia has played a huge part in furthering Tenishia’s career. “Asia has been quite good to us”, Grech said in a comment. “I think the Vietnam gig in front of 300,000 people was a big break for us, but we've also managed to establish a good following in China, where we played over 14 times last year”.
The announcement of the MTV show was complemented by a full feature on the South East Asia edition of DJ Mag, which also featured Tenishia as its cover artists. The DJ duo’s connection to DJ Mag is well-know, with Tenishia placing among the world’s Top 100 DJs in the magazine’s annual poll for the past 4 years. Voting for this year’s Top 100 DJ list is open at https://top100djsvote.djmag.com and naturally, Tenishia will be counting on your vote to help them secure a high position for a fifth consecutive year.
Meanwhile, upon their return, Tenishia have at least 7 confirmed major dates to perform at, starting with the Grotta club in Xlendi, Gozo on Saturday, August 8, Creamfields in Rabat the following Friday and by gigs in Singapore, Indonesia, UK, China and Mexico after that.
