Summer is in full swing (give or take a couple of grey days) and, as the hottest month of the season comes to a close, the second edition of the Raging Waters Pool Party is about to kick off. Spurred on by the success of last year's first edition, the team behind this event, Mikaela Attard and James Horton have upped the ante by putting together another interesting line-up. This time around Raging Waters is bringing together foreign and local talent for what should be an entertaining live concert that will no doubt be perfectly complemented by large doses of fun, food and of course a good selection of beverages to keep the energy levels up.

The foreign bands are Italian Death metal act Cadaver Mutilator, whose 3 brutal albums should go down well with the local metalheads and Austrian Gore-Grind metal act VXPXOXAXAXWXAXMXC. As for the local element, there are four acts in total, namely Falcon's Flying Circus, Pyramids Suns, Loathe and Fallen Icon, who recently released the North of Nowhere EP.

Raging Waters II will be held at Avalon Club, Cabo Terrace, Birzebbuga on Saturday, August 29. Doors open at 1pm. Tickets cost €20 (early bird) or more after the early bird offer sells out, and are available from Kickstart Rock Bar (St. Venera), Coconut Grove (Paceville), The Mad Hatter (M'Skala), Django Jazz Bar (Valletta) or by calling James Horton (99054669) or Mikaela Attard (79463898). The Gozo contact is Matthew Natoli (99864684). The event is powered by Captain Morgan and All Rock Malta.
